課程概述 |
This course is designed to provide Ph.D. students with a bridge to understand recent important theoretical and empirical research on modern finance theory. To this end, outstanding scholars are invited to present their working papers or give some workshops to share their research ideas and research experience. Ph.D. students are encouraged to ask questions, make comments, and share research ideas in the class. |

On successfully completing this course Ph.D. students are expected to develop their ability to find interesting research topics and learn important skills in doing research. |

課程要求 |
Students may choose any 3 of the presented papers (including conference papers from the TFA Annual Meeting and the FMA Asia-Pacific Conference) to write the reports and hand them in to the teaching assistant once completed. The report should include a brief summary and detailed comments to the papers. The due date of the reports is 30 June, 2017. No grade will be given to the report that is handed in later than the due date.
Students are encouraged to ask questions and/or give comments during the presentations. The grade for participation is evaluated based on the questions/comments you raise during the class. The teaching assistant will keep the records for your questions/comments.
Students are required to attend all seminars. Please note also that students who are absent without notice once will get at most 80 points of the final grade and that students who are absent without notice twice will fail the course. If you have to ask for leave due to important reasons, please inform the instructor at least one day before the class. |
